   This patient education manual has 24 colored photographs that helps the clinician explain to
the patient some of the most common  temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain
conditions. Intracapsular conditions such as joint clicking and locking are clearly illustrated. Pain
referral is demonstrated in a manner the patient can understand. There are illustrations that
provide a simple way to help patients understand the relationship between emotional stress and
their pain.
